The Marvelous Land Of Oz

Since watching and writing about "The O.Z." for my journal assignment for Basic Comp., I've been totally re-obsessed with The Wizard of Oz and all of it's incarnations. I've recently watched "The Return to Oz" and now I'm reading L. Frank Baum's original books on a site I found online: www.literature.org.

I've been in love with the story since seeing the musical staring Judy Garland when I was a little kid. I have the musical on dvd and watched it 1,000 times before putting it away and never really watching it again for some years. But then the Sci-Fi channel played "The O.Z." and I loved it (even if the ending sucked) which lead me to look it up online and, through the power of wiki, looked at all the other stories and histories of Oz. I then remembered "The Return to Oz" which I also saw when I was a little kid and bugged my sister to buy it on dvd.

So, now I'm all obsessed with the stories again and I think I like the original books the most. I've read "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" which was about the famous Dorothy's trip and now I'm reading the "Marvelous Land of Oz" which is about boy named Tip and Jackpimpkin Head.

I guess I'll always just be a big geek in one way or another. Anime, video games, computers, a love of musicals, and a obsession with the Wizard of Oz. Stay back; I have so much geekiness, it might just rub off on you!
